The Flood Test (Most Critical Step)

Procedure

1. Block all drain outlets
2. Fill with 3–5 cm of water
3. Mark the water level
4. Wait 48 hours
5. Check if the water level has dropped
6. Inspect the ceiling below for any signs of seepage

Important: The flood test MUST be done before tiling. If leaks are discovered after tiles are laid, the cost of rectification is extremely high.
